A blockboard is an excellent alternative to solid wood, but at the same time much lighter. It is very resistant and stable. Alexandru Chiperi, a carpenter with over 25 years of experience tells us, why he loves to work with blockboards:
I love working with blockboards. It is not only durable and light-weight – it is also very versatile. I used blockboards for bookshelves, dressing rooms, bed frames and other types of furniture. Moreover, I applied it as claddings or wall coverage. And blockboards are great for doors.
Blockboards are also very easy to transport and to work with. Whenever I build a booth for fairs, I choose blockboard. Some of the blockboard booths which I created resisted to several transports, assemblies and disassembles and still looked great in exhibitions.
